Growing spring onions

Add flavor to your meals and spice to your garden with quick and easy spring onions! Here’s how to grow them…

Spring onions, green onions, salad onions, scallions – whatever you call them, these little beauties should be in every garden! Easy, versatile, and fast-growing, spring onions are ready to harvest in as little as 8 weeks, and they can be grown in very little space.

Green onions can be enjoyed in everything from salads, to soups, curries, and more, and they are great for planting in between slower-growing veggies or in little corners of your garden where other crops may not fit – which makes them great for gardeners with small gardens. You can plant them in the spring, or in the late summer for an early spring harvest in some areas. They can also be grown in containers or in with other potted plants.

I am excited to be growing these in our garden for the first time this year, and will let you know how they get on!
