[Video] How to Grow Delicious Fall Salad Greens

Extend your growing season with tasty fresh fall salad greens using these simple tips…

Summer is over, but that doesn’t mean your garden has to be! Fall is a great time to grow tender, delicious greens, which thrive in cooler temperatures even with the shortening day length.

Salad greens like lettuce and arugula, and Oriental greens such as bok choi, zesty and spicy mustards, tatsoi, and mizuna (my favorite) grow particularly well in cooler weather, and can keep you supplied with fresh salads well into the winter months. They are also generally easy to grow, and will begin producing fresh leaves for your table in just a few short weeks. Plus they come in many different beautiful colors and textures that look lovely in your garden – and on your dinner table!

This quick video explains how to grow wonderful salad leaves and Oriental greens for a longer growing season – and more fresh, healthy veggies from your garden!

I have gardened in a number of different climates and settings, from large fenced garden plots, to tiny patio and container gardens, and I firmly believe that everyone can learn to grow at least some of their own food - no matter where you live. Growing your own food can help you take control of your own health and food supply, and there has never been a better time to get started!
