[Video] How to Make Natural Willow Structures For Your Garden

Pretty up your garden or yard with natural and rustic D.I.Y. willow structures like this! Here’s how to make one…

Willow is something I’ve only heard of recently for building garden structures such as fences, trellises, and windbreaks, but many gardeners swear by the use of willow structures!

Willow (and the related hazel) trees produce lots of quick-growing, flexible stems that can have lots of fun uses in the garden. From supports for climbing plants, to screens for dividing your garden into different sections, to fun sculptures that make a statement in your garden or yard, willow is an amazing garden resource. Some gardeners even use willow stems that are still growing to make a living fence!

This quick video explains how to use willow in your garden to make a small woven willow structure for framing beds or hiding pots in a container garden.

An avid gardener since childhood, I love sharing my passion for gardening with others! I have gardened in a number of different climates and settings, from large fenced garden plots, to tiny patio and container gardens, and I firmly believe that everyone can learn to grow at least some of their own food - no matter where you live. Growing your own food can help you take control of your own health and food supply, and there has never been a better time to get started!
