[Video] Why Everything You Know About Composting Is Wrong

Many people have some misconceptions when it comes to composting leaves, and this hilarious TED video helps clear them up for us…

I stumbled across this video the other day, and it was so hilarious I just had to share it with you here! In this TED talk, Mike McGrath, host of the nationally syndicated public radio show You Bet Your Garden, author of The You Bet Your Garden Guide to Growing Great Tomatoes, and former editor of Organic Gardening Magazine, explains the misconceptions about composting with leaves, the futility of leaf blowers, and the reasons why your garden may be the happiest it’s ever been if you just follow his simple method…

An avid gardener since childhood, I love sharing my passion for gardening with others! I have gardened in a number of different climates and settings, from large fenced garden plots, to tiny patio and container gardens, and I firmly believe that everyone can learn to grow at least some of their own food - no matter where you live. Growing your own food can help you take control of your own health and food supply, and there has never been a better time to get started!
